Amby Cline, DO
 

Board Certified in Family Medicine

Dr. Amby Cline grew up in a small farming community in West Texas. She obtained her college degree in Biology with Honors from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She then attended medical school in Fort Worth at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine- University of North Texas Health Science Center, where she met her husband, Dr. Jon-Michael Cline. She completed her residency at the prestigious Waco Family Medicine Residency Program.

Since graduating from residency, Dr. Amby Cline has worked in both private practice and community medicine. With over 14 years of medical experience, she is passionate about and dedicated to patient wellness. She cares for newborns all the way up to geriatrics. She has a special interest in women's health, pediatrics, and dermatology. She also has recently completed the Lifestyle Medicine course to further empower her patients to live long, healthy, fulfilled lives.

Dr. Amby Cline also has the privilege to work alongside the incredible Hospice of East Texas to provide care and comfort for patients in our community who are nearing the end of their earthly lives. She is a community volunteer faculty member of University of Texas Tyler School of Medicine where she teaches Palliative and Hospice fellows.

Jon-Michael Cline, DO
 

Board Certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine

Dr. Jon-Michael Cline was born and raised in East Texas. After graduating from Elkhart High School, he attended Tyler Junior College where he played both tennis and baseball. He then completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Texas A&M University where he also pitched for the Aggies. Gig Em'! He then spent a year in Dallas working with orthopedic surgeons as a medical representative. However, he was called back to baseball and spent two years pitching for the Minnesota Twins in their minor league system. Though a shoulder injury and subsequent surgery ended his professional baseball career, he went on to pursue his passion for medicine by attending medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center/TCOM in Fort Worth. He met his wife, Dr. Amby Cline, during medical school, and they both went on to complete their Family Medicine residency training at the full-scope Waco Family Medicine Residency Program.

Because of his passion for both medicine and sports, Dr.  Cline then completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship with Southwest Sports Medicine and Baylor University in Waco.

​

With over 14 years of medical experience, Dr. Cline is excited to provide expert knowledge and care to the families of East Texas. He is currently seeing ClineMed members at our ClineMed location as well as non-members at Azalea Orthopedics in Tyler, TX.
